Yevrin sat at the bar, sipping at a lemon water. She did not really like alcohol, though it had its uses. For example, she liked alcohol when it was others drinking it; dulled wits, slower reflexes, perfect conditions for pickpocketing. It also gave her targets the kind of esteem only drink could and let them think they actually had a chance with her. Of course, it would not do to let them know that she was not as drunk as they were, thus the lemon water. A clear liquid in a cocktail glass, with random citrus fruits sticking out and people just assumed that it was a type of clear spirits. She just had to arrange her drink directly with the bartender, then ask for her usual and whoever she was with would not realize she was just having water and acting intoxicated. It was a good system. Yevrin was currently looking for a good target. There were plenty of suitable targets, but they were rift-raft and would have next to no money on them; just enough to drink themselves stupid and stagger home. She was waiting for a prize. Of course that did not mean she could not keep herself busy. The man sitting next to her had been just recently thrown out of the bar because he could not find his wallet to pay for his next drink.

Sean was the next one to enter the bar. He had been walking down the street and his leg had been screaming in pain and the bar was always the best place to stop off. He came to a barstool and dropped into it heavily. He lifted his leg a little, peering down at it and was glad to see no blood. He had thought the wound had reopened itself but it hadn't...it was just painful.
He leaned forward on the bar and waved the bartender over, "Anything that's strong," he mentioned and the man walked off to find the drink that would please this man. He needed something to dull the pain a little and it wasn't like alcohol dampened his senses at all. His teacher had had him build up a high tolerance to alcohol for his reaction when drunk was quite...strange.
The drink came, a brown drink that smelled very heavy. He took it and took a small sip. It was strong. Good.

Yevrin looked over the man who took the seat next to her at the bar. She smiled. It seemed that she would not have to work very hard tonight. Her prize had walked right to her, and ordered himself a strong drink. She noticed a limp in his walk, which was always a good thing; if things turned ugly, she should be able to escape quickly without fear of much pursuit. 'Time to turn on the charm,' she thought as she tried to catch the man's eye. She gave him an easy smile and leaned forward toward him, making sure that in doing so she used the slit in her blouse to its greatest advantage. "Good evening sir. Do you think you could do with some company?" she asked coquettishly.

Sean looked over at the woman sitting beside him. He noticed that she was extremely beautiful but he had a talent for reading people and while she expressed interest in him verbally it didn't seem like her attractions were genuine. He didn't believe himself to be someone whom any woman would like to talk to tonight. He thought his overall mood was just unappealing right now. However, she had asked if he wanted company and he wasn't the one to decline.
"Sure," he said with a shrug of his shoulders. He took another sip of his drink, "Did you come here just for me?" he teased with a grin towards her after swallowing the potent mixture.

'Success,' Yevrin thought as he accepted her offer. 'This is going to be fun.' She placed a finger thoughtfully on her lips. "Hmmm..." Yevrin gave him a sly smile, then laughed. "No, unfortunately not just for you. Though I must confess I expect the night to be much more entertaining now that you have shown up. A girl shouldn't be drinking alone don't you think?" She giggled, and leaned forward a bit further. "And besides Mr. Prince, how can I come just for you if I don't even know your name yet?" She leaned a bit more toward him, then 'lost' her balance and fell off of her stool.

Sean turned to the side, grabbing the woman's arm right underneath her armpit which gave him a better hold so he could hoist her back into the seat. It worked almost as well as he had hopped. He toppled over just a little before his other hand slammed down on the counter and used that as leverage to pull her back into her seat. "Be careful there," he commented calmly as he seated her back in her stool and then removed his hand from the tight grip he had on her arm.
"Sorry if that hurt," he commented apologetically before taking his drink and taking another sip. "Also...I'm sorry to inform you but if you're looking for a relationship I'm already seeing someone. And if you don't feel safe drinking alone then you should come in a group, they're definately safer."

During her fall, Yevrin had not been concerned with whether he had caught her or not. Her focus was on checking the regular places that a man kept his money, and she had noticed a bulge in his back pocket, which normally indicated a wallet. She let him pull her back up, and laughed off her little accident. "Don't worry, it didn't hurt. Thank you for your valiant catch Mr. Prince," she replied, and giggled again. She was a bit disappointed to learn he was in a relationship -she always found it an amusing past time to play her male targets' emotions. However, the fact that he had someone did not matter in the larger scheme of things; she had her role and she was going to play it out. "So," she said authoritatively as she stood up and swayed slightly, "I better be more careful just like you said. So, to avoid leaning over and falling again," she pushed her stool over to be right next to his, "I simply just won't lean over." She sat back down, and was just a hairbreadth away from being hip to hip with the man. "Right?" She giggled, and took a sip from her drink. "And since I don't have a group, and you said yourself that my drinking alone isn't very safe, I'm sure my Mr. Prince will not abandon me just because he has someone else, right?" She smiled and winked at him.

"Uh...my name is Sean," Sean retorted calmly, a little irked that she kept calling him a prince. It still sounded as though she was flirting with him, even though he had told her that he was seeing someone else. Maybe she wanted him to buy her drinks. Most likely, she had probably run out of money getting herself drunk. She was certainly acting loopy enough although some women just naturally acted like that when they were flirting.
"And I wasn't thinking of staying here for a long time..." he mentioned, just until the slight pain in his leg eased up a bit. It was time that he warded her off a bit. Maybe if she discovered that he didn't have the cash to pay for drinks she would ease up a bit and maybe their conversation would be...normal. "I don't exactly have the kind of money on me to stay here for a long time drinking.
"But if you need an escort home you could always ask the bartender," he mentioned, "They normally have people that specialize in helping women home after dark."

Yevrin managed to keep her smile when the man said he had little money. She had already invested time into him though, so she would just have to finish this off quickly and leave. She was disappointed, she thought that he would have more on him. He had looked to her as a horderer rather than a spendthrift. He was barely touching his drink, which was problematic for her. At least he had finally given her his name though. She had somewhat dreaded that he was an egoist that would like her calling him a prince for the rest of the night since he had not said anything.
Yevrin laughed again. "You definitely aren't a regular here if you think this place has that kind of service. I don't care though; I always manage my way," she smiled and took a long sip from her drink. Then she sighed. "I thought you would be more fun Sean. You're being so serious and, well unfun. And that's what these places are for, to go and have fun. And if you don't think that's true, you have to at least acknowledge that these places are for drinking, but you've barely even touched yours." She took another sip of her drink, then ran her finger over the rim of the glass. Then smiled at him mischievously. "Really, you're going to have to pick up the pace if you're going to catch up to me. I'm already halfway through my third. Or do you intend to let a girl out-drink you?"

Sean shrugged his shoulders, "It's not something that I take lightly," he commented, grasping his drink lightly and sliding back and forth between his two hands. "People can be rather unruly when drunk and if you're already through your third you should probably think of slowing down."
He chuckled lightly, "You should see my boyfriend...when he gets drunk he-" he paused, not wanting to get into 'that' side of things with a stranger. Jamison, his lover, could barely last through two drinks, sometimes only one and he grew forgetful, overly-forward and....sexually frustrated...if that was what you could call it. Those nights were fun...if Sean was wary of his lover's drinking.
He cleared his throat, deciding to move on, "I'm here for a pain killer," he said with a smile, "I hurt my leg a little while ago and I needed something to take my mind off of it. Though I think just sitting here is what's helping it the most." Though, could it be that she was provoking him into drinking? A drunken comment or something more? But it didn't matter, not right now.

"What, your leg hurts?" Yevrin asked. "Which one? This one..." She brushed his leg with her own until she thought she had touched the right place. Then she quickly stopped. "Oh, sorry. That was stupid wasn't it? Are you alright? I didn't aggravate it did I?" In fact her aim had been to aggravate it. If he was here to drink away pain, increasing the pain would make him drink faster. As well, she was annoyed at wasting her time and effort on such a small prize, and this was just a small venting of it. She took a quick sip of her drink, and then looked at it. "Maybe I should stop...no, no. I'm sure I'll be alright." She went into a giggling fit, then stopped abruptly. "Sorry. I'm really sorry. Seriously, are you alright? What happened to you?"

She did touch the source of pain but Sean tried not to show it. It wasn't that bad anyway...just a burn and a gash across his leg caused by one of his misadventures. The true pain was in the location...a part of his leg that was put under strain when he walked. It was a little irritating that she was trying to touch it...she probably wanted a reaction from him. So he merely shrugged his shoulders, looking off towards the bar.
"It's fine," he said calmly. Change of subject. Enough talk about him so he wouldn't answer her question right now. "What's your name?" he asked, "If I'm to be walking you home I'll need that information." Plus he had told her his and it was normal that one returned the favour. Unless she was hiding something.
It was strange, how suspicious he was becoming of her. She was just a drunk girl at a bar. But...no...that wasn't it. She wasn't drunk...she knew too much about her doings to actually be drunk. She was covering it well, everything she had done thus far but...they were drunken happenings. She was teasing him....testing him...she wanted something from him. And he wasn't really in the mood to appease that or return the teasing. He'd just be careful...maybe if that discouraged her she would leave. Any hope of having her talk to him normally had left.

"My name's Yevrin. And I never asked you to walk me home; I just want company while I'm here. Sometimes drunk men can get a little too bold, if you know what I mean." She started giggling yet again. This whole situation was annoying. He still was not drinking, and she could not even flirt with him to make him lower his guard. He had someone and she was not really his 'preference' to begin with. 'Better to just leave now and go home. Maybe I'll find a real drunkard while walking home and be able to get a little something from them.' She stopped her giggling fit by taking a long sip at her drink. It was nearly empty now. She sighed and held up her glass, as if seriously contemplating her situation. "I probably shouldn't have a fourth. Too bad though; I was having fun talking to you Sean." She stood up, holding onto the bar for support. "Thank you for the pleasant evening," she said smiling at him as she took a step forward to leave. However, she 'tripped' over her barstool, and fell right into Sean. She grasped at him, trying to keep herself upright, and during this time she slipped his wallet out of his pocket and up her sleeve. "Sorry, so sorry," she said as she got herself upright, still holding onto his shoulder. "I'll be fine. I live pretty close to here so I should only fall another dozen times on my way back." She laughed loudly for a bit them, let it trail off. "Seriously, I'll be alright. Thanks for staying with me this long. I hope your leg gets better. If the Fates allow it, let us meet again," with that she started a staggering, swaying walk to the door, making sure to bump into a table in the process.

Sean cleared his throat after his first comment. She had a point, definately so. The first time Jamison got drunk he was...bold...to say the least. And then she was leaving, getting up...and falling right on him. His hands flew up to catch her not before he felt her hands at his back pocket.
He was a professional thief, trained against being taken advantage of in many ways. Mentally, physically, sexually and he was certainly prevented from thievery. But he allowed her to remove his wallet from his pocket for, out of the thirty dollars that he had, only about fifteen was in the wallet. And no identification...because that changed from day to day. But now he had his answer. She was a thief and the kind that used her gender to get what she wanted.
He rose to his feet, stretching his knee out. It didn't matter what the pain was like. He had fallen from walls, been beat up in alleyways, hurt his back jumping over a fence and many other kinds of injuries and when he needed to mask the pain he did just so. When she stumbled over the table he grasped her arm right below the elbow in a nice strong grip. "Let me walk you home," he said calmly, and 'assisted' her exiting the bar.
"I'll need my actual wallet back though," he mentioned calmly, "You can keep the money but the wallet itself was a gift from my boyfriend."

Yevrin was shocked when Sean grabbed her. Her first instinct would have been to wrench out of his grip and run for it, but when he said he only wanted the wallet back, she suppressed the urge. She stood still and looked him over. One hand gripping her arm, no weapon in the other, and no stance to suggest that he was prepared to draw one either. She knew that there was no point to denying the fact that she had his wallet; he would not believe anything that she said. She no longer had to act drunk anymore either. "Just the wallet?" she asked, looking him straight in the eye, trying to detect whether he was serious or not. With a flick of her right wrist, she withdrew his wallet from her sleeve. While doing this, she let her left hand go behind her back and lightly grip the pommel of the dagger she had hidden on her back under her vest. Just in case. "I get to keep the money?"
