Clutching a thick volume to her chest, Queen made her way to the library. She slipped the book into the return slot as she rushed through the door, walking as fast as possible towards the fiction section. After spotting the sequel to the book she'd just read, she climbed up the ladder to one of the topmost rungs. Using her fingers to wipe the dust off the cover, she sat, opened the book, and began to read. Immersing herself in the world she read about, Queen lost sight of the ladder she sat on, the distant floor, and the people below.

Yurika entered the library, scanning the rows upon rows of books. Seeing so many books reminded her of her brother's wife, a woman he had met quite some time ago who seemed to be sweetly addicted to the written word. Yurika had never been too fond of books...though her family had owned an enormous library back when she had lived with them. That had been a great many years ago and in death she had forgotten how many. Well, her brother and his wife had not ended up where she was as far as she could tell. That gave her peace.
She was still in a library however, looking for some records perhaps of strange occurances. Who knew what point in time Erebus might have visited this world...and if he did there would be records of his being here. Logically speaking, theoretically perhaps. She stalked beneath a ladder, ducking down her head as she looked for some map to point her in the right direction. She saw none.
Lifting her head she peered up at the only person in her direct vicinity, "Excuse me," she said in a hushed shout, "Where can I find the archives?"

Startled back to reality, Queen moved suddenly and caught her foot between the two rungs that served her as a chair. In an effort to free her leg, she pulled at it and fell forward, dropping the book she'd been reading below. She squeaked as her nose hit the bookcase; Queen now hung upside-down with her face to the shelves, one arm holding her hat to her head. Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself and glared at the books, recalling the cause of her current situation.
"All over the first floor," she mumbled through the bookcase, Though I don't know how you missed them on your way up. That taken care of, she realized her position was proving to be rather uncomfortable. Queen stared straight ahead and contemplated how to get back up.

"Seriously?" Yurika said, turning her head to take a quick glance over her shoulder. She hadn't exactly bothered looking that closely...more or less hoping that a sign would simply smack her in the face. Having the archives reveal themself would have saved her a bit of time.
She casually waved a hand at the suspended woman, still staring behind her. "Thanks..." she muttered absently. She was still pondering the fact that she had missed them...though she wasn't used to being in a library. How was she supposed to know where things were?
She turned her head eventually, looking up with perplexed tilt of the head. "Do you...need some help?" she questioned slowly.

Queen was still thinking in her slow, patient way as she read the titles in front of her nose. She was surprised to hear the woman talking from below, she'd thought she'd gone to see the archives already. Considering her options, Queen grudgingly decided that, in order to get back on her feet, help was necessary.
"That would be helpful..." she replied quietly. She was starting to get dizzy, the blood was rushing to her head. Being who she was, Queen became fascinated with the unpleasant feeling in her head. She'd never been hung upside down before, and now I know I don't want to do it again.
Jimmy crawled over her nose and she sneezed, waiting for the stranger to think up the solution.
