Boredom. Monotony. Dullness. These things and all their likenesses were what Swaizzo abhorred with every fiber of his being, and his one-day off work at the delivery service seemed to serve him nothing but these hated things. He stomped down the wooden dock in a huff, on his face a look so dreary it could sufficiently ruin any passer-by’s day. The sky above was as blue and clear as the ocean waters swaying underneath, but this bizarre mere cat was in no mood for a pleasure-stroll down the sunny coast. What could be more uninteresting than that? Frustrated with the current situation (or lack there of) he practically collapsed unto the edge of the dock, as if he no longer cared whether his legs could carry him or not. His over-dramatic display of annoyance was almost comical.. "Hey!" From his seat he shouted at an unsuspecting seabird gliding above, "Catch this, ya feathered punk..." Then swiping a stray beach pebble from his side, he shut one eye for maximum accuracy and flung the stone straight at it, all in an attempt to cause trouble of course. The bird squawked, then stared as the missile whizzed underneath it, only to plop down into the water harmlessly. Swaizzo sighed and his shoulders slumped listlessly, now convinced that all manner of beings were out to kill his one-day off work, including the wild-life..

"Or, as your actions suggest, you are out to kill the wild life? Which is it you lumpy boring ball of useless flesh?" Jumping up from behind him she swept her wings to make her self airbourne although it wasnt really necessary -- she was half vampire after all.
Positioning herself right in front of this creature, she didnt even bother to use her wings to keep her afloat seeing her vampire nature would do the rest. Folding her arms she stared at him with the look of unsatable hunger. In truth he did seem quite a tasty little morsel. She figured he was probably curious of her nature seeing that she looked like a vampire, but could be out in the broad daylight. "So, which is it? Or am I to act before you answer? You may want to talk first...it may be your last, depending on what you say. Intrest me, and somethings can be spared including your life." Smiling as only she could smile, she waited.

With a yelp, Swaizzo toppled backwards and unto his elbows clumsily, wide-eyes staring up at the shadowy newcomer with understandable bewilderment. For what seemed like an eternity, the words he was just demanded of seemed to lodge in his throat, only to escape as terrified squeaks. The last thing he expected to happen today was a direct threat on his life, from what appeared to be a vampire with wings...The burning question here became, how could a vampire trot to carelessly around in mid-afternoon? "I, ah ...Can I just chose none-of-the-above..?" He managed an innocent shrug, and gave the pale stranger a nervous grin. Playing coy was all he could pull off right now -- Well; until he found the perfect moment to make use of one of the pistols kept strapped to his belt. With a brain-wave like that as feul, his left hand began to slide down his waist little by little, sneaking for the gun that had a reputation for saving his skin in situations like these. “Alright listen, I’m not here to cause any trouble...” He lied through his teeth, and at this moment his hand rested on the trusty firearm, clutching it dearly. The gun kept concealed in its holster for now, Swaizzo locked a suspicious stare onto his grinning foe. "But it seems to me that you are...I'm not gonna let some light-deprived tyrant push me around here! Who the hell do you think you are anyway??"

Grinning even broader, she put a finger to his chin and flicked his head up hard. "You should really learn to guard your thoughts -- your easier to read than a childrens book. Oh and don't bother bringing out that pistol, it can't hurt me. And don't look at me with such fear and wonder at the same moment, theres only so much you can learn in a glance. And as for who I am? Well I will tell you because I like toying with you -- you interest me. My name is Seth, and I am a hybrid like yourself it seems."
Pointing her slender pale hand to the holster concealed from mortal view, she made it rise and rip out of the strangers hand. Letting do a few loops in the air she let it rest lightly between her fingers and with one fluid motion threw it up in the air and made it land in the creature's hand. "Here, have it in your hand if it makes you feel safer, quite comical actually."

Swaizzo couldn't help but fumble the gun in his hands as it landed straight back into them. He nearly dropped it by the fellow-hybrid's feet, but snatched it from the air and brought it close to his furry chest. It would go no where near her or those cursed powers ever again...He stuck out his tongue and glared at the vampire-menace derisively, daring her to try something like that again. "You think you're so cool..." He grimmaced, pushing himself off his backside and rising to his feet. "Listen Seth, I know people like you...You're all showy on the outside," he stepped forward, pointing an accusing finger straight at her forehead, "But on the inside, you're just some punk kid looking for a fight, 'cause ya got nothing else to do." The amount of hypocrisy in that statement was absolutely massive, but of course, Swaizzo refused to take notice. He slid the pistol back into its respective holster, then folded his arms across his chest and stood confidently, convinced that he had made his point with style. "If you're gonna call me anything, call me Swaizzo. And you're right, I'm a hybrid too..." He cocked an eyebrow then, a sudden hint of curiosity peaking his interest, "Wait, how do you know all this stuff anyway? What sort of hyrbid are you??"

"Well, to answer your first statement or rather anyone that counted, I do have lots to do but I have chosen to go out of my way just to piss you off. At least, thats how you see it. And I'm showy on the inside and out, nothing fake about me, no games, and no lies."
Finally landing down on her feet, Seth watched as this Swaizzo character insulted her, and for some reason, she didn't care. She had never met anything like this guy before, and he amused her. This was probably the reason she wasn't about to silence him once and for all --which she could easily do. "Hello Swaizzo, I would also like to add that I am no kid, and that I am actually several hundred years old. But seeing as men dont ask women their true ages, for you I will say I am at the significant age of 20, thank you very much." Raising an eyebrow at herself for tolerating this bafoon, she couldnt help but laugh. This guy was great.
"And to your last and final questions, this answer should suffice. Im half Vampire, half Raven Elf. I have the skills of both species and even some of their faults, which I wont readily reveal to you. I can read minds, stay in the day light, and see at night. I also have the ability to be completely concealed and undetected as well as to speak to all creatures of the earth in their own tongues. I must say that more hybrids would mean more skills in this world and therefore more challenges. But enough of me, what are you?"

Swaizzo's ears perked suddenly, startled to hear his own question aimed back in his direction. He may not have been expecting the query, but that wasn’t what he was actually unprepared for. Truthfully, he hadn’t the faintest idea of what sort of strange, crossbred creature he was currently trapped inside, and thusly the answer was never found. “Eh, care to take a guess?” Swaizzo asked sincerely, shrugging with a coy smirk on his lips, “I’ve always thought I was a combination between a dog and a rat, but what do I know?” He chuckled for what seemed like the first time all day, “Although I'll have you know, I’m still a member of one of the top delivery services on the island.” Now, this was something Swaizzo was prepared to talk about fully and willingly. Boasting about his fantastic job was one of the courier’s most treasured conversational items. The way he saw it, who wouldn’t love to be paid for traveling all across Lamiere, on a mission to deliver this package, or that letter? It was the absolute perfect way to make a living... “I’m a five-star courier for my friend Sebastian and I’s delivery service. If you ever need something taken to the mainland, you can always come to us!” He patted his chest proudly, pleased to have made a successful advertisement for he and his friend's very own business. "Now...why is it that I've never seen you around Abastecimiento before..." He resumed, curiosity restored in Seth once again, "Do you even live around here?"

"I guess you could say I live here now..." Seth smiled slyly. She wondered about the sudden change in atmostphere. Everything seemed a little more friendlier, calm -- it was wierd, she actually liked this little furball. Now that she thought about it, she might have a use for this little dude later on, when she had things to move up the mountain.
"Do you deliver up to the Delphian mountain? I might be able to make use of your services, and I pay well, do not worry." With a smile, she looked away and up into the sky. She then started wondering what the hell this guy really was. Rat and Dog he said? What an odd combo, but then again, she wasn't one to talk. "So how long has your business been running? I need to know so that I can trust you to carry some precious cargo." She wondered if they would take live cargo, and if so, would she show him her latest discovery?

Swaizzo waved a gloved hand non-chalantly, "You don't have to worry about a thing -- we've been around here for at least five whole years now. I promise, we can carry any kind of cargo, to any place on Coast Lamiere." He dismissed Seth's inquiry with a confident nod, "Yep, the mountains shouldn't be too tough of a job anyhow..." Boredom was no longer lingering about the docks, it seemed. The arrival of this bizarre vampire had certainly changed the atmposphere of this potentially dreary day...And now he and Sebastian had a potential customer on their hands. Who could complain! "So then...Eh, what sort of cargo is this anyhow?" Swaizzo resumed coolly, folding his arms over his chest while leaning in closer to Seth, "It must be pretty important, or at least worth alot of cash...Care to share?" He grinned widely, the notion of delivering something so very valuable jostling his tired nerves awake. Seth has suprised him on numerous ocassions already, and they had only just met mere moments ago. Certainly this time would be no different..

Putting her arm around Swaizzo she began to steer him away from the docks and engaging in an explaination of the task at hand. With a light voice she explained that instead of talking all day, she would simply show him. "I am very fortunate to find you here actually. The reason why I came and verbally assaulted you was because I saw you throwing something at a bird. I'm a little touchy when it comes to animals, but I now realise no harm was done." Seth continued walking with the sun very warm on her black wings. She flapped them with one big sweep to allow them to cool off a little. "Now the reason that I was on the docks at all, is now the focus of your attentions if you are willing. It's alive, it's vicious if I let it be, and quite akward to carry. But instead of letting you guess I will ruin the fun." Letting his shoulder go, Seth took flight and landed on a large wooden crate. Kneeling down on top of the crate and unlatching it, she let the side fall off, and a large wolf could be seen lying down. Its white fur on its hind legs were stained with blood as many gashes were visible. When the wolf saw its container open, it tried to stand up, and growl at Swaizzo. "You better stop my little friend, because your going to spend some time with this stranger. No worries, I am confident he will treat you well." After a moment Seth smiled. "Yes you will get better meat than what this skinny lad can give you, and no -- he is not for eating. Keep that in mind." Turning to Swaizzo, she grinned. "So now that you know my errand can you attend to it? Like I said I will pay double what you normally charge for such a burden. Half now, and half when I see him safely at the top of the mountain. He is very precious to me, as we have formed a special bond in the few days I have known him. He is under my care, and therefore now part of your responsibility now. I would be interested in knowing how you will go about transporting him as he cannot walk, but he his rather large. Are you up to the challenge?" Closing up the crate she waited for a response. She felt competant that this creature could do it , and hoped he would accept.

Swaizzo felt an undeniable chill crawl up his spine when the canine growled at him through bone-crunching teeth. Seth certainly had an unusual taste in pets, it seemed...Well, at least she had enough sanity to call off her beastie when it became necessary. "Yeah, well...Delivering that guy might be kinda difficult..." He admitted with a nervous pitch in his voice, pointing to the crate while Seth sealed it shut. "Ah, well...There aren't alot of ways to transport a live-wounded-wolf, but I'm sure we can come up with some sort of plan..." He placed a finger to his chin and tapped on it pensively, trying to devise some sort of safe method of transport in his whirring mind. Swaizzo couldn't remember the last time he and Sebastian has delivered something that was living...he wasn't even sure if they'd ever done it before. Turing away from Seth on his heels, he glanced to the side and cocked an eyebrow skeptically. How were they going to pull this off... "Alright, what do ya say to having a chat with my partner, Seb?" He declared at last, spinning around to face Seth once again, "We can take a visit to the delivery service, and plan out what kind of method we'll use to transport your friend up to Delphian." Motioning with his hand, he beckoned the vampire to follow him as he began to walk from the wooden crates.

Nodding silently she followed Swaizzo off the docks. She would return here this evening to check on her friend. She thought about where she was going, to this Sebastian. She guessed his name was that after all the times that Swaizzo repeated that name in his thoughts. He must really be dependant on this guy, or maybe just is unsure about me and is nervous? She wasn't sure and she didn't really care. The faster she got her friend up to the mountain, the faster the healing process could continue. She wondered where exactly they were going, not like it really mattered, she could travel with both of them very quickly. "Where are we going and is it far? If so, I can lend a hand, or should I say wing?"

Swaizzo couldn't help but glanced over a shoulder at this, a mischeivous grin creeping upon his face, "Well, the delivery service isn't really that far from here..." he admitted with a casual shrug, "But, since you asked...Maybe you taking us back isn't such as bad idea." His grin grew wider then, and he turned back to face Seth. She had just offered to fly them both back to Abastecimiento, and flying there was what piqued Swaizzo's interest the very most. How could he have actually forgotten about the vampire's magnificent set of raven's wings? "I don't suppose you're used to carrying short furry things on your back, are you?" He chuckled and walked over to his latest client, eager to take to the air once again. It was his gryphon comrade who had gotten him addicted to soaring through the island skies, and now Swaizzo would take any chance he'd get to do just that. "Are you ready Seth?" He asked while cocking his head to the side, "The delivery service is directly north, in the heart of Abastecimiento..."

Seeing him unable to keep back a grin, she couldn't help but grin herself. He would be an easy burden becuase of his size. She decided to make a show of all of her movements. Nodding she suddenly was down on one knee one second, and the next her wings were fully extended to their thirteen foot span. Waiting patiently for Swaizzo, she wondered who this gryphon was that kept penetrating his thoughts, so she decided to ask. "Who was your friend, I mean the gryphon you were thinking about?"
While she waited for him to climb aboard and answer her question her thoughts momentarily wandered to the first time she was allowed to use your wings. She was about a year old, and previously her mother hadn't let her fly at all. But seeing as she was more mature than the other raven elves, she was given the go ahead. She could still remember the feel of the wind in her face, and the speed in which she went. Seth decided that she would go very speedy because she could tell that this Swaizzo had flight experience and wouldn't scream like a banshee. That was a good sign.

Ruffled by the breeze Seth's wings had stirred about with their rapid extent, he smoothed back his brown hair and straightened out the checkered handkerchief that was tied around his neck. "You mean Sebastian?" He returned while strolling over his latest mode of transportation, playful grin still intact, "He's my business partner, pretty much. The both of us help run the delivery service we're heading to now, and by the looks of things -" He pointed a thumb to the crate that currently served as a home for the injured wolf - "He's going to be the one to actually carry yer friend up the mountain..." Ducking under Seth's right wing then, Swaizzo placed his hands upon her shoulders and hoisted himself onto her back with ease. "With my help and Seb's, you've got nothing to fear about this job." He finished off with an enthusiastic punch to the air. The gun-totting courier was more than ready for the challenging feat the trio were about to attempt, and in truth, he couldn't stand the wait. "Alright, come on!" He clapped his hands together then, "Let's get going!"
