Freyn was taking an order when he and every patron still sober enough noticed a bright flash of light from the window. He paused for a moment, wondering if he should be concerned, but then decided that whoever had been on the receiving end of Lena's wrath was probably the one in most danger. He finished taking the order and was walking back to the bar when the door slammed. Lena stormed in and collective hush followed her. Freyn stood there nervously as she sat in her foul temper with only the alcohol for company. After a minute, the spell broke and the inn's patrons returned to their conversations, though with noticeably less volume. Freyn walked slowly over to the bar and stopped in front of Lena. Uncertain of whether he should let her be alone or not, he waited a moment, before he cleared his throat nervously and ask, "Um, though it may be none of my business, is everything alright?"

Deciding not to bother with the small glass anymore, Lena pushed it away and took a long swig from the tall bottle.
Looking over at the young man's face, she softened her tone and said, "Thank you for being concerned, but I'll be alright. Just another ghost from the past who has come to haunt me..." Attempting to put on a sad excuse of a smile, "Honestly, don't worry about me!"
Getting up from the bar and taking another drink from the Firewhisky bottle, Lena quickly said, "Y'know.. I'm not feeling too good, so I should let you close up tonight. I mean it is you're first day and all but I think you can handle it! How about it???"
Swaying from side to side she waited eagerly for his answer, because she needed to get away from the social scene. Lena just wanted to be alone with her thoughts and some more alcohol... Plus the fact she wasn't feeling too well.

Freyn saw through the smile immediately. There was definitely something wrong with her and she was drowning it with alcohol. However, she was saying nothing was wrong, meaning that she probably wished him to not pry into her private affairs. He did not feel comfortable surrendering her to loneliness and alcohol, but it was obvious that she was in no condition to continue working. Burying his own concerns, he attempted to force a smile of his own and answered, "Of course I will close up. I am honoured that you trust me to do so on my first day... As well...You really do not look well. You should probably go straight to bed...Are you sure you are alright?"

"What???" Clearly very drunk, Lena still managed to get to her feet. She began to wave her fingers, and the now empty firewhisky bottly, in Freyn's face, then creased her forehead, being annoyed by his remark. [when you think about it, any feelings she had at the moment never really counted for anything because she was so intoxicated.]
"W-w-what's that s-s-supposed to m-mean? I am p-p-perfectly f-fine. Seeeee???" she said, then attempted to stand on her feet without any help... She suddenly began to sway from side to side, raised her arms while grinning a drunken grin at Freyn, and then passed out on the floor.

Lena's sudden outburst had shocked Freyn into taking a step back from her, which proved to be a mistake. When she collapsed just as suddenly, he just managed to catch her before her head hit the ground. The empty bottle did hit the ground, and shattered into dozens of pieces. Carefully, Freyn lifted her up, and held her, bridal style, her head slumped against his shoulder. Needless to say, almost every head was turned toward him and the unconscious Lena. Heat rushed to his face and he said, in what he hoped was an authoritative voice, "Nothing to see here. Either go back to your drinks or pay and get out." Then, stepping carefully over the glass, he carried Lena out of the room. It only took a bit of searching to find her bed chamber, and when he did he laid her gently on her bed. He covered her with a blanket and brought the garbage can close to her bedside, in case she was sick when she regained consciousness. Then he quickly and quietly left the room to hurry back to the dining room, to clean up the glass and tend to the customers. When business had settled down a bit, he would go back and check on her.

Lena awoke from a pleasant slumber. Clearly having no recollection of the night before, she smiled to herself and stretched her arms out and beamed towards the winter morning sun. Suddenly...
"Oh My God!!!", she cried. She felt stabbing pains ringing throughout her head in excruciating pangs, as if someone had taken tattooing needles and ran them over her scalp. Grasping her head and curling up into the fetal position, she rocked back and forth, hoping it would relinquish the pain.
In a sudden flurry of thoughts, every fragment of her memory from the night before returned back to the clear picture it once was...
Freyn coming in late. The mystery man outside the Inn doors. The flash of flame that rolled from her fingertips. The firewhisky bottle shattering on the bar floor.
"Oh my God..." Lena whispered to herself. The previous night's events caused a nauseating feeling to well up within her. "I'm going to be sick..." and she looked to the side of the bed and found a garbage can conveniently placed beside it. She quickly grabbed it and began to puke violently...
I'm never doing this again, she thought... ___________________________________________
Some time passed, it was late afternoon, and Lena felt well enough to travel downstairs to see how the bar was going. She finally realized halfway through her vomiting that it was 10AM and the bar was open with no one to serve anyone!
Attempting to get there fast enough without stumbling on her wobbly legs, she turned into the bar to see Freyn busy at work, serving customers and running the bar...

Business had stayed busy until the time Freyn had closed the bar at one o'clock, preventing him from going and checking on Lena as he had planned. He had then quickly swept the floor, scrubbed the tables, and washed the dishes before he climbed onto the bar counter and promptly fell asleep. He had woken up with dawn -on the floor- the next morning. He had enough time to get oriented and make a small breakfast for himself before other dawn-greeters had come in for a meal. He had been kept busy ever since. Freyn was in the middle of taking a very detailed order from a very fussy customer when he noticed Lena stumble into the room. "Good morning boss!" He called to her across the room, giving her a salute and a broad grin. "Are you feeling any better this morning?"
